Emergency Plumbing Services in Bristol
Qualified emergency plumbers
throughout Bristol
Emergency work we regularly carry out in Bristol includes replacing old lead supply pipes that have started to weep, repairing thermal store cylinders that have stopped producing hot water, and fixing toilets that take ages to refill because of a scaled-up fill valve. We also deal with leaking shower wastes in loft conversions, outside gullies blocked with leaves and silt, and joints failing where old and new pipework have been connected. Our plumbers carry the fittings needed to work with different pipe materials, complete most repairs in one visit, and agree the price with you before starting.

Emergency Plumber FAQs for Bristol
Which areas of Bristol do you cover?
We cover all of Bristol, including Clifton, Redland, Cotham, Bishopston, Horfield, Henleaze, Westbury-on-Trym, Stoke Bishop, Southville, Bedminster, Totterdown, Knowle, Brislington, Easton, St George, Fishponds, Kingswood, Hartcliffe, Filton and Bradley Stoke.
How can I tell if I have lead water pipes?
Check the pipe coming into the property near your stop tap. Lead pipes are dull grey, soft, and show shiny silver metal if you gently scratch them. They aren’t attracted to a magnet and often have rounded, swollen joints. We can replace lead pipework inside your property, and your water supplier can advise on the section outside your boundary.
My thermal store has stopped giving hot water. Can you repair it?
Yes. The usual causes are a failed thermostat, a faulty pump or valve, a problem with the boiler or immersion heating the store, or scale on the internal heat exchanger. We’ll test each part of the system to find the fault and repair it so your hot water is back as quickly as possible.
My toilet takes a long time to refill. Why?
A slow refill is usually caused by limescale or debris in the fill valve, or an isolation valve that’s partly closed. Low water pressure can also be a factor. We’ll clean or replace the fill valve and check the supply so the cistern refills properly again.
Will I get a quote before the work begins?
Yes. Your plumber will explain the problem and give you a clear quote first. Nothing goes ahead until you’ve agreed to the price.
